Template for Communities and Developers
Growing Sustainability One Step at a Time

In the past ten years the CNTK has been working with communities, Parks and Recreation Departments, Government and Developers in order to provide models for families and individuals to get sustainable.

We are finding that more people are looking to get healthy, to lower their carbon footprint and feel empowered to make their own food, or even make extra cash.

Of course, each community and group has its own specific needs and vision.

So the CNTK acts as a consultant to provide services that match your budget and needs.

First, we meet with a client to discuss their sustainable land management needs.  We may want to take some soil samples so we can help to improve and balance your soil quality.

Next, we apply some of the templates we have developed.  Vegetable gardens, fruit and nut groves, greenhouses/ cold frames, composting, coops, and water catchment are just some of the options we provide.

Construction of outdoor classrooms, solar ovens, soil restoration preparations, traditional mud brick ovens, terraces, root cellars, and more is available.

Knowing the cost per square foot of each of these allows you to choose how to grow your sustainability, at a predictable pace.

Finally, we get the community involved and find out how the labor for the project will be accomplished.  This can be membership, volunteer, or internship based.  Also, the cost of labor to be contracted out, and the cost calculated and paid through member dues.
