The EcoVillage Project

We have begun a dialgoue around a unique piece of land 45 minutes away from Santa Fe, NM.  This land has been treated with great care, using gravity fed irrigation and natural techniques for building soil quality.  For many years it has been used to pasture horses, and the largest mesa in the US is the central visual reference.

At this site, we have begun a dialogue about how we could develop an EcoCenter, and sustain ourselves from the land, while teaching others how to replicate the process and use our resources to help the greater community.

30-40 core members are needed to begin in earnest in spring.  Rotating teams would camp out and implement a collaborative vision for long-term sustainability, mostly based on traditional hand-tended agriculture, and permaculture techniques.

Economic stability in the future will depend on our ability to live in harmony with one another, and with Nature at large.   A network of craftspeople, artisans, spiritual practitioners and small plot farmers can create a thriving Center where people come to learn together about a new kind of future.
